Food and drinks
The food selection we offer at Visnes Hotel is influenced by local food and traditions. Arvid has a big interest in hunting, and therefor has an access to the best ingredients the area offers. Shellfish and fish we get directly from the coast, vegetables and berries from local producers.
For events and private parties we will gladly set up a menu in cooperation with our guests. We are familiar with classic dishes and we are happy to offer excellent three-course menus.
Marit has a lot of knowledge about wine. She has graduated from the Wine Education Trust program “Exploring Wine and Spirits” and she has taken the international WSET exam. In addition, she has studied wines from Burgundy.
Marit will gladly share her knowledge with you. If you wish to organize a wine tasting with your friends or company, feel free to contact us.
Restaurant
In the summer season, from mid-June until 20. August, our a la carte restaurant is open every night between 18.00-21.00. Outside this season, we offer a set menu for dinner for our guests. Please book this in advance.
For the summer 2024 we will offer a menu of Norwegian food, based on local ingredients such as beef, lamb and trout from the area. Vegetarian dish is also available.
If you are not staying at our hotel, you are still welcome to visit our summer restaurant! Please book a table in advance.
